The USDA recently announced increased testing for HPAI in raw milk samples throughout the country. This means that farms, transporters, and processors will all be required to submit samples to USDA inspectors when requested. Positive tests may be traced back to the farm level and positive farms will be required to cooperate with the USDA by providing epidemiologic data and adhering to enhanced biosecurity measures and movement controls as determined by USDA.
